Place the tape measure at the middle of the neck, 3cm above the pit and nape of the neck. Measure around and leave one finger allowance. For a normal fit collar, add 2cm. For a loose fitting collar, add 2.5-3cm.
The measurement is taken from the customers left “shoulder point” across the nape and then to the
right shoulder point then plus 1CM.
To locate “Shoulder Point”: Starting from the neck shoulder point and move along the shoulder line to the shoulder end. (If the shoulder is extremely wide or narrow, you can adjust accordingly). Mark the two shoulder points. These two points will be used to measure the shoulder and front shoulder.
Please note: If the customers bicep is extremely large, the shoulder point should be in line with the widest part of the bicep.
Measure around the fullest part of the chest with two fingers allowance. Make sure the tape is not too tight.
Measure around the narrowest part of the customers back, leaving two fingers allowance. Make sure the tape is parallel all the way around and isn't too tight.
Measure around the thigh at the widest point leaving two fingers allowance. Make sure the tape is not too tight.
Take the measurement from the top of the waistband at the center back seam down along the front rise across the crotch, then up to the top of the waistband at the center front seam. (U-Rise = Front Rise + Back Rise). Make sure that the tape is not tight or slack and fits the customer comfortably.
Measure from shoulder point down to the base of the thumb (starting point where the wrist meets the palm).
Measure from the nape of the neck vertically down to the bottom of the hip. You can adjust accordingly per the customers request.
